Bayne Dubbed Northern Santa Barbara County Female Athlete of the Week

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Accolades continue to roll in for Allan Hancock College women's basketball sophomore, Jayci Bayne, after being tabbed as the Northern Santa Barbara County Female Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Bayne had a standout performance for the Bulldogs last week in the 97-59 victory over Oxnard College to close the regular season. She finished the evening with a red-hot 50 percent shooting effort from the floor, which included hitting eight three-pointers, and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe en route to a career-high performance of 43 points. She also reached a career milestone by joining the 1,000 point club and was just shy of securing her second triple-double of the season after dishing out 11 assists and grabbing nine rebounds.
