SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball team pulled off a convincing victory against Western State Conference rivals, Cuesta College, in a 63-34 decision at home on Saturday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (17-7, 6-2 WSC) cruised to victory after limiting the visiting Cougars to just 16 points in the first half. Coach Scott's squad resumed play after the intermission with a swarming defensive presence that allowed just four points from Cuesta (9-16, 2-7 WSC) in the third frame. Both teams struggled to find success from distance after shooting 14 percent from long range and combining for just six made three-pointers on the night. The home crew excelled on the inside after registering 34 points in the paint and holding a 52-38 advantage on the boards.

Kayla Taylor led a trio of double figure scorers with 14 points while also grabbing nine rebounds.
