Women's Basketball: Alexandria Paquet Commits to Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, Mass. - Allan Hancock College women's basketball guard, Alexandria Paquet, has verbally committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Eastern Nazarene (Mass.) College next season.

"I chose Eastern Nazarene because of their education program," Paquet shared. "I also really enjoyed my visit to the campus. The women's basketball team felt very much like a tight-knit family atmosphere and that's something I'm really excited to be a part of next year."

Paquet, a graduate of Ernest Righetti High School, wrapped up her second and final season with the Bulldogs this year. The two-time All-Conference honoree finished the year averaging 13.3 points and 3.1 assists per game while also picking up postseason honors as an All-State and All-Academic Team designee. The Santa Maria native also recorded a team-high of 332 points and dished out 78 assists on the season while ranking 13th amongst CCCAA components for her 78.6 percent effort from the charity stripe. Throughout her career with the Bulldogs, Paquet tallied a total of 579 points, 161 assists, and 111 steals through two seasons in a Bulldog uniform while starting in 42 of her 51 appearances.

"My time at Allan Hancock has definitely prepared me to be successful at the next level," Paquet added. "I've been able to use this time at the junior college level to develop into a better basketball player, get stronger, and work on some weak areas that I had in my game after coming out of high school. I've also been able to learn how to juggle going to school, playing a sport, and also working off campus which I think will really be helpful as I balance everything while living further away from home next season."

Eastern Nazarene, located just outside of Boston, is a Division III member of the NCAA and competes in the New England Collegiate Conference.
