Women's Basketball: Kayla Taylor Heading to Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, Mass. - Allan Hancock College women's basketball forward, Kayla Taylor, has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Eastern Nazarene (Mass.) College next season.

"I chose ENC because it's a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and experience new things while still working towards my major," Taylor stated. "It is a great school and I like that it isn't too big or overwhelming. Coach D from ENC is very passionate about the program and the team has a family atmosphere, which is exactly what I need and what I was looking for at the next level."

Taylor, a native of Lompoc, recently completed her second season on the court with the Bulldogs. The First Team All-WSC honoree closed out her sophomore season by averaging 9.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while leading the team with 1.5 blocks per contest. Taylor also snagged 10+ rebounds in four contests throughout the regular season, including a career-high of 18 against Santa Barbara, and totaled 39 blocks.

"My time at AHC was stressful at times, but this last year really made me the person I am today. It is also the reason that I'm able to have received a scholarship to attend ENC," Taylor added. "I'm really looking forward to continuing my basketball career as well as finishing my education!"

Eastern Nazarene, located just outside of Boston, is a Division III member of the NCAA and competes in the New England Collegiate Conference.
