Next Level: India Dowling-Green Commits to Clayton State
MORROW, Ga. - Allan Hancock College women's basketball standout, India Dowling-Green, will continue her academic and athletic career at Clayton State University next season.
"I chose Clayton State University because they offered me a great basketball scholarship, they have the major I'm interested in pursuing, and it gets me closer to home," Dowling-Green shared.
Dowling-Green spent two seasons on the court for the Bulldogs and picked up First Team All-Conference honors at the conclusion of her sophomore campaign. The South Carolina native averaged 12.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while leading the team with 113 made free throws. She hit a career-high of 30 points in the season opener, which was the highest-scoring finish for any teammate on the season in a single contest.
Dowling-Green also was a member of the women's track & field team during her final year at Hancock. She was a First Team All-Conference honoree in both the 100m and 200m sprint races and as a member of the 4x100m relay team.
"My experience at AHC helped me prepare for success at the next level in many ways," Dowling-Green added. "I learned to manage the challenges of being a dual-sport athlete while painting a strong academic performance and balancing a job outside of campus."
The Lakers are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Peach Belt Conference.
