
Women's Basketball Opens League Action with Win at Oxnard, 90-51
OXNARD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's basketball program secured a 90-51 victory in the Western State Conference (North) opener while on the road against Oxnard College on Wednesday evening. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs (6-11, 1-0 WSC) led from start to finish in the contest after jumping out to a 23-11 advantage in the first frame. Coach Smith's squad finished the day shooting 43.6 percent from the field and won the rebounding battle at a 48-26 margin. The visiting crew also managed to score 22 points off of 19 turnovers by the Condors (2-8, 0-1 WSC).
Bree Luna led all scorers on the night with 21 points off of the bench, followed by 19 tallies apiece for Katy Mathews and Khaelii Roberston-Mack. Anastasia Drollette and Gifti Tefera also finished in double figures after they each chipped in with 10 points. Robertson-Mack hauled in a team-best mark of eight rebounds and dished out the team-high of three assists on the night.
The Bulldogs will be back in action at home against Cuesta College on Saturday, January 11th, at 1 PM.
