From the opening tip, the Bulldogs (11-17, 6-6 WSC) set the tone with aggressive rebounding and efficient scoring in the paint. The home squad took an early lead with a 14-11 first quarter and never looked back, going on to outscore the Pirates (9-14, 4-7 WSC) by an 18-7 margin in the second frame.
On the defensive end, AHC overwhelmed the visitors and holding them to a dismal 27.6% from the field and a mere 6.5% from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs dominated the rebounding battle, securing 59 boards compared to Ventura's 45, creating numerous second-chance opportunities.

Mathews also made a significant impact, adding 12 points and 11 rebounds while facilitating the offense with five assists. Perez rounded out the double-digit performers with 10 points and snagged five rebounds.
The Bulldogs will now wait until the bracket is revealed for the 3C2A Women's Basketball Championship to find out if their 2024-25 campaign has truly ended. The seeding meeting is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 23rd, to set the playoff field with the official announcement to follow that evening or the next day.
