Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at WSC Championship, Four Qualify for SoCal Championship

VENTURA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team wrapped up regular season action on Monday afternoon after closing out the second round of the Western State Conference at the Buena Ventura Golf Course. 

The Bulldogs finished in fourth place overall after shooting 372 on the second day of action, bringing them to a final total of 720 through two rounds. College of the Canyons won the event and secured an 11th consecutive conference title after posting a two-day score of 633 (313/320). Bakersfield College was tabbed as the runner-up with a final tally of 664 (334/330), followed by 694 from Moorpark College (354/340). 

After successfully competing in their first season in more than two decades, the Bulldogs will be sending four individual qualifiers to compete at the CCCAA Southern California Championships on Nov. 6-7 at El Prado Golf Course in Chino. Individual qualifiers are determined based on the season scoring average and Hancock will be represented by Danica Black, Sidney Pruett, Khloe Branch, and Katrina Mata at the event. 

The top four programs from both the North and South regional events will advance to compete at the CCCAA State Championships being held Nov. 13-14 at Morro Bay Golf Course.
