Women's Golf: Bulldogs Finish Sixth in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team earned a sixth place finish through the field of seven after competing at the Santa Barbara Golf Club for a Western State Conference competition. 

The Bulldogs saw two individuals land in the Top 25 at the conclusion of the event, led by Danica Black with a final tally of 94 en route to an 18th place slot. Kariss Whitford, a freshman product from Orcutt Academy, placed 22nd after posting a score of 99. 

Canyons finished atop the field of teams after shooting 334 on the day, followed by Moorpark (342) and Santa Barbara (344). 

Hancock is set to return to action on Monday, September 18th, for another conference showdown at Sterling Hills Golf Course in Camarillo.
