Women's Golf Takes Fifth at WSC #4
VENTURA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf program continued conference action at the fourth Western State Conference meet of the season, hosted by College of the Canyons at the Olivas Links Golf Course.
The Bulldogs took home a fifth place finish through the field of seven scoring teams after carding 387 strokes. The hosting Canyons won the event with a four-stroke lead en route to a final score of 334, followed by Santa Barbara (338) and Moorpark (340).
Danica Black led the way for Hancock and landed in a three-way tie for 10th after shooting 87. Kariss Whitford followed with a final tally of 91, landing in a tie for 17th, while Khloe Branch (93) placed 20th. Katrina Mata rounded out the list of individual performers in the standings after placing 30th.
WSC play continues Monday, Oct. 2 at Antelope Valley Country Club in the conference event hosted by Antelope Valley College. Tee time is scheduled for 11 AM.
