Women's Golf: Bulldogs Finish Sixth at WSC #5

LANCASTER, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team continued conference play at the WSC #5 Meet, hosted by Antelope Valley College at the Antelope Valley Country Club on Monday afternoon. 

The Bulldogs finished in sixth place out of seven competing programs after carding 419 strokes on the day. Kariss Whitford led the way with a final total of 94, placing her in a tie for 14th. Danica Black followed, landing in a tie for 17th after finishing one stroke behind Whitford, while Khloe Branch (111) landed in the 26th slot. Katrina Mata shot 119 on the day but fell below the top-30 cutoff. 

Up next for the program is a non-conference showing at the Central Coast Classic. The two-day event, scheduled for October 9-10, will be held at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande.
