Women's Golf Takes Fourth in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team placed fourth in the second Western State Conference event of the season at Santa Barbara Golf Club on Monday.

The conference contest saw seven programs compete with five turning in scores for the team standings. Moorpark College (321) won the event followed by host SBCC (332), and Canyons (384).

Kariss Whitford led the way for the program with a top-10 performance after carding 89 strokes on the day. Vanessa Ramos and Phoebe Becerra followed by landing tied for 18th and 22nd place, respectively. Kristina Whitmore rounded out the top-25 group in 24th place after going for 114.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday, Sept. 16th, at the Sterling Hills Golf Club for another WSC showdown.
