Women's Golf Finishes Third at WSC #3
CAMARILLO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team continues to see significant improvement as the fall season progresses after placing four individuals in the top-20 at the third Western State Conference event of the season on Monday.
The Bulldogs carded a team total of 382 on the day, marking nearly a 60-stroke improvement from the season-opening score of 440 that was posted by the program in August. Hancock finished in third place behind Moorpark (313) and Santa Barbara (334) while edging out Canyons by seven.
Phoebe Becerra led the way with a personal best performance after shooting 84 on the day, placing her in seventh place out of all competing individuals. Fellow teammate Kariss Whitford followed with an 85 en route to an 8th place slot. Kristina Whitmore and Vanessa Ramos also earned top-20 nods after placing 19th and 20th, respectively.
Up next will be a trip to the Olivas Links Golf Course on Monday, Sept. 23rd, for the WSC #4 event.
