Bulldogs Women's Soccer Team Falls Short in Home Opener
A late hat-trick in the second half by Citrus College was too much for the Hancock Bulldogs to overcome, in a 3-0 loss at home on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs started the game with a stingy defensive effort, holding the Citrus Owls scoreless the first half but struggled to find the net themselves. Freshman Jennifer Perez, from Santa Maria High School, scored late in the first half but the goal was ruled off sides on the play.
Citrus managed to score 3 unanswered goals past Freshman goalkeeper Alejandra Ibarra in the second half, for a final score of 3-0.
However, Hancock College Associate Head Coach Ricardo Vazquez remains optimistic about the young Bulldogs.
"We have to go watch the film and grow from this," Vasquez said. "We have a young group but we are going to surprise a lot of teams this season."
The Bulldogs, now 0-2 overall, face Pasadena City College at home this Friday at 4pm.
