Women's Soccer Defeats Oxnard College in Final Game of the Regular Season

The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team played its final game of the 2019 season at home Friday, November 15th, in a 1-0 win over Oxnard College. Hancock honored it's sophomores in a ceremony that saw the player's friends and families walk them out to mid field one final time. As each player walked out a brief piece was read aloud detailing their plans after Hancock and their favorite memories in their time at Allan Hancock College. The ceremony was capped off with comments from the coaches expressing their gratitude and fond memories from throughout the year. The women's soccer team finishes their season at 8-8-6, just out of playoff contention.

In the 20th minute forward Elizabeth Aldana scored her team-leading 10th goal of the year off the assist of Kassandra Bright to put the Bulldogs permanently ahead in the game. Aldana finished the regular season with 24 points on 10 goals and four assists. Bright finished in second with 11 points on 3 goals and five assists.

Hancock dominated in shots in the first half 18-4 and ultimately ended the game ahead in shots 26-12.

Both goalkeepers played excellent games with Hancock's Damaris Bautista coming up with six saves. Her performance earned her player of the game honors.

The Bulldogs finish the season in fifth in the Western-State North conference with a 4-5-3 record.

Allan Hancock College thanks its student-athletes as well as the coaches and athletic staff for their hard work this season.
