Women's Soccer Blanks Oxnard in 9-0 Showing

OXNARD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team aced a Western State Conference road test against Oxnard College on Friday afternoon with a 9-0 shutout victory. | BOX SCORE

The win places Hancock in a second place tie with Ventura College in the WSC-North standings as both teams boast a league record of 5-1. Santa Barbara City College currently leads the conference with a record of 6-0-1.

Alina Terrones sparked the offensive outburst for the Bulldogs (10-1-3, 5-1 WSC) with a goal in the first 13 seconds of action. Cynthia Ramirez added to her impressive campaign with two goals (12th minute, 52nd minute) and a pair of assists, bringing her to a season point total of 50 thus far. Hayde Gallardo also registered a pair of goals while Becca Souza, Kaihla Lopez, and Emely Graciliano Sanchez each chipped in one. Leslie Ramirez and Hope Smith rounded out the list of point-getters with one assist apiece. 

Hancock dominated all aspects of the stat sheet as the Condors (5-9, 2-5 WSC) were unable to place a shot on target compared to 16 on frame in favor of Coach Vinnedge's squad. AHC also recorded 10 corner kicks while Oxnard registered one. 

The Bulldogs are set to continue league action on Tuesday, October 18th, with a home showing against Ventura. The match will begin at 4 PM on the AHC Soccer Field.
