Women's Soccer: Cynthia Ramirez Sets New School Record as Bulldogs Top Porterville

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team saw a school record fall after registering a 14-0 shutout over Porterville College at home on Tuesday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

Cynthia Ramirez broke the school record for single-game goals after netting six shots on the day. The previous record of five single-game goals was set by Bonnie Zuniga in 2016 and tied twice by Ramirez last season. The Arroyo Grande native also had two assists on the day and led the home squad by placing eight of her nine shots on target.

Zorah Coulibaly and Kaihla Lopez added to the effort with two goals apiece while Liliana Jones, Leslie Ramirez, Estrella Guzman, and Annette Vargas each tacked on one. Coulibaly also chipped in with two assists, followed by one helper each by Ximena Hinojosa, Stacy Ramos, L. Ramirez, Lopez, and Vargas.

Hancock finished the day with 35 shot attempts, including 21 tries on target, while holding the Pirates to zero. The 14 goals scored by Coach Vinnedge's crew also ties a single-game school record that was set by the program last fall.

Next up for the Bulldogs is a two-day trip down south for a pair of non-conference contests. Hancock will start the weekend at West LA College on Friday, September 8th, before ending the trip at San Diego Miramar College on Saturday.
