Women's Soccer: Bulldogs End Two-Day Trip with Two Shutouts

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team picked up a pair of non-conference shutout victories after a two-day trip down south over the weekend. 

Cynthia Ramirez was named as the Northern Santa Barbara County Female Athlete of the Week after the trip. The Arroyo Grande native registered 10 goals and three assists as the Bulldogs posted a perfect 3-0 record on the week. 

Up next for the program is a home showing against Bakersfield College on Tuesday, September 12th, at 4 PM. 


GAME ONE: AHC 6, WEST LA 0 | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs opened the trip with a 6-0 win against West Los Angeles College on Friday afternoon. C. Ramirez led the way with two goals while placing five of her six shot attempts on target. Zorah CoulibalyXimena HinojosaKaihla Lopez, and Ana Delgado added to the effort with one goal each. Hancock's backline, anchored by Delgado as the main centerback, limited the hosting Wildcats to just two shot attempts on the day with only one landing on goal. 


GAME TWO: AHC 4, SAN DIEGO MIRAMAR 0 | BOX SCORE

Hancock closed the weekend at San Diego Miramar on Saturday evening. C. Ramirez registered two goals on the day, one off of an assist from Mia Santana and another after a successful penalty kick opportunity. Estrella Guzman and Coulibaly chipped in one tally each while Hinojosa tacked on an additional assist.  

Sam Patchin and Maya Mendek split time in the goal, but neither had the opportunity to collect a save as the Jets could not produce a shot on target.
