Women's Soccer Blows Past Cuesta, 6-0

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team picked up the first Western State Conference (North) win of the season for the program after topping Cuesta College, 6-0, at home on Friday afternoon. This marks the sixth shutout victory of the season for the Bulldogs thus far., ranking them third amongst all CCCAA teams. | BOX SCORE

Zorah Coulibaly started the scoring frenzy after using a pass from Estrella Guzman to put Hancock on the board in the 23rd minute. Kaihla Lopez doubled the deficit for the visiting squad just three minutes later before Cynthia Ramirez finished off the opening half with scores in the 31st and 39th. 

Leslie Ramirez struck first in the second half by sending one past the keeper in the 58th minute before Ximena Hinojosa netted the final tally of the game in the 77th. Isabella Galvan, L. Ramirez, and C. Ramirez also tacked on one assist apiece. 

Hancock (7-3, 1-1) placed an impressive total of 16 shot attempts on target while limiting the Cougars (1-6, 0-2) to just one. The home squad also owned the edge of the field with a 7-1 advantage on corner kicks.

The Bulldogs are set to continue conference competition with a home showing against league-rival, Santa Barbara City College. The game will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd, at 4 PM on the AHC Soccer Field.
