After a slow start to the game, both sides combined for a three-goal frenzy across a span of 10 minutes before cooling off again. Cynthia Ramirez put Hancock (12-3-2, 6-1-2) on the board with a pair of goals, one in the 20th and one in the 21st. Her first goal was assisted by Kaihla Lopez while the second helper was sent by Annette Vargas. The Vaqueros (8-3-5, 4-1-3) cut the deficit with a tally of their own in the 29th minute before bringing the game to a draw with another shot over the keeper in the 82nd.

Maya Mendek was charged with the tie after collecting eight saves and allowing two goals through a complete 90 minutes of play. Santa Barbara also owned the edge of the field with a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks.

Despite the draw, Hancock still remains atop the team standings list for the Western State Conference (North) with 20 points. Moorpark, who has tallied 16 points with a league record of 5-2-1, is in second. Santa Barbara and LA Pierce (4-1-3) are tied for third.
