Eleven Bulldogs Land on WSC All-Conference List for Women's Soccer, Nearly Sweep Superlative Awards

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - After claiming the Western State Conference (North) title, the Allan Hancock College women's soccer team set another program-best mark by placing 11 Bulldogs on the list of All-Conference honorees while nearly sweeping the superlative awards. 

The Bulldogs coaching staff, led by head coach Billy Vinnedge, picked up a second consecutive Coaching Staff of the Year nod. Other members of the coaching staff are Cesar De Alba (Associate Head Coach), Buddy Kichler (Assistant Coach), and Maisen Baro (Goalkeepers Coach). 

Cynthia Ramirez was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year after a stellar sophomore campaign. The Arroyo Grande native has led the way for the program with 30 goals - ranking her third amongst all 3C2A competitors - and is ranked second with 74 points after also tallying 14 assists. As a program, Hancock has averaged 4.05 goals per game (81 total) through 21 contests. 

Leslie Ramirez, who served as a critical pillar for AHC's backline, was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year. She notched four goals and seven assists during her sophomore campaign, ranking her fourth on the team with a total of 15 points. Hancock's defense has tallied nine shutouts on the season while surrendering just 19 goals and working towards a goals-against average of 0.95. 

Zorah Coulibaly, Kaihla LopezMia Santana, Ana Delgado, and Sam Patchin picked up First Team All-Conference honors. Coulibaly ranked second on the team with 43 points on the season after totaling 15 goals and 13 assists through the regular season, followed by 40 points from Lopez after 16 goals and eight helpers. Patchin, who served as the primary keeper this season, secured 32 saves while boasting a 0.84 goals-against average in the box. Santana and Delgado worked alongside L. Ramirez as members of Hancock's stifling defensive core. 

Estrella Guzman, Alyssa Valenzuela, Liliana Jones, and Annette Vargas landed on the Second Team All-Conference list. Guzman and Vargas spent most of the season as midfielders and both registered four goals apiece. Jones and Valenzuela each registered an assist after working in the midfield and defensive slots. 

Ximena Hinojosa and Belinda Hernandez rounded out the list of award winners as All-Conference Honorable Mention selections. Hinojosa tallied 14 points (4 goals/6 assists) during her freshman campaign while Hernandez added three points (1 goal/1 assist).
