SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's soccer team picked up a 3-1 victory in a non-conference contest against West LA College on Friday afternoon in the home opener. | BOX SCORE
Ximena Hinojosa got the Bulldogs (2-1-0) on the board with a goal in the 28th minute after an assist from Zorah Coulibaly. Alyssa Valenzuela doubled the lead just two minutes after play resumed in the second half with an assist by Maggy Maya. Coulibaly sent a pass from Janelle Partida past the West LA (1-2-1) keeper in the 60th before West LA snuck one goal in as time winded down in the 87th.
The Bulldogs outshot the Wildcats, 17-3, and held them to zero corner kick attempts on the day. Allie Lemmon picked up her second win of the season in the box, collecting just one save thanks to a stifling defensive line effort by the home squad.
Up next is a trip to College of the Sequoias for another non-conference showing on Tuesday, September 10th, at noon.
