Season Continues for AHC Swim at 44th Annual Cuesta Invitational

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's and women's swimming teams continued the season at the 44th Annual Cuesta Invitational. The two-day event was held on the campus of Cuesta College. | FULL RESULTS

The men's program secured a 10th place slot in the field of 20 after tallying 196 points throughout the weekend. Max Pecile headlined the crew with 78 points across five events, which included a pair of top marks in the 50-yard backstroke and the 500-yard freestyle. Pecile also recorded a runner-up finish in the 200-yard backstroke and took third in the 100-yard backstroke. Asa Marsalek also had a productive outing after collecting 31 points through four events. His top individual mark with a 4th place finish in the 400-yard individual medley. The men's team also secured a 4th place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay on Friday afternoon with a final time of 7:21.50. 

The short-handed women's team finished at 17th in the field of 20 after totaling 47 points. Lizzie Hernandez led the way by registering 22 points on the weekend, led by a 5th place finish in the 200-yard backstroke. Jamielynn Allen chipped in by scoring 12 points after a 7th place finish in the 500-yard freestyle event. 

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Friday, March 18th, at the second WSC Meet of the season. The event is set to begin at 11:30 AM on the Cuesta College campus.
