Women's Swimming: Lizzie Hernandez Tabbed as CCCAA All-American

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Awards continue to accumulate for Allan Hancock College women's swimming standout, Lizzie Hernandez, after a stellar freshman season.

Hernandez was named as a 2022 CCCAA Women's Swimming All-American for her performance in the 400-yard individual medley after she clocked a season-best time of 4:57.74 at the Western State Conference Championship, ranking her ninth overall in the state. That time also moves the Santa Maria native up to third in the program record books in the event.

Most recently, Hernandez tallied 14 individual points at the CCCAA Women's Swimming State Championship earlier this month after an 8th place finish in the 400-yard individual medley and a 14th place mark in the 200-yard backstroke. She also earned three individual medals at the WSC Championship last month with a 2nd place performance in the 400-yard individual medley, a 3rd place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, and a 6th place mark in the 100-yard backstroke.
