
Women's Volleyball Sweeps Antelope Valley in Home Opener
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - After a 90-minute delay due to transportation issues, the Allan Hancock College women's volleyball team swept Antelope Valley College with ease in the first home game played inside of the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium since November 2018. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs worked towards their seventh win of the season with final set scores of 25-16, 25-12, and 25-14 over the Mauraders (2-5). The home squad was red-hot with a .380 hitting percentage and 16 service aces while limiting AVC to a .026 showing on the night.
Jocelyn Olmstead led the way with an impressive .800 mark after recording 12 kills and no errors on 15 attempts in the middle. Marina Agueda also had a day on the outside with a .429 hitting percentage and 11 kills, followed by 10 kills (.292) from Emma Olney. Shanyce Valadez paced the offense with 23 assists and was tops for the team after registering eight aces, while Morgan Doss led the backline effort with 11 digs in the libero uniform.
Hancock will be back in action at home on Wednesday, Sept. 25th, for another non-conference contest and will play host to West LA College at 6 PM.
