Women's Volleyball Bounces Back with Sweep at Pierce
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's volleyball team bounced back after a series of four-set losses with a clean sweep on the road at LA Pierce College on Friday evening. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs now move to 11-7 on the season with a 2-6 record against Western State Conference (North) competitors while the Brahmas fall to 1-16 on the season (0-8 WSC). Final set scores from the match were 25-20, 25-16, and 25-9.
Emma Olney led the offensive effort with 10 kills and a .333 hitting percentage after 27 attempts. Gifti Teferan and Jocelyn Solmstead followed with six kills apiece, both operating out of the middle, while Marina Agueda added five of her own from the outside. Shanyce Valadez paced the attack with 20 assists and was tied with Morgan Doss on the defensive side after tallying 11 digs. Nevaeh Madrigal registered a career-high of six aces and added seven digs to the mix.
The Bulldogs are set to continue conference action on Wednesday, November 6th, with a road trip to face the No. 7-ranked Moorpark College Raiders.
