
Women's Volleyball Tops Cuesta in Four at Home Finale, 3-1
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's volleyball team picked up a four-set win over Cuesta College in the final home contest of the regular season schedule on Wednesday evening inside of the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs now move to 12-9 on the season with a 3-8 record against Western State Conference (North) competitors while the Cougars fall to 12-15 on the season (3-8 WSC). Final set scores from the match were 25-21, 25-23, 19-25, and 25-20.
Emma Olney led the offensive surge with 17 kills and chipped in with nine digs. Jocelyn Olmstead followed with 10 kills and a .333 hitting percentage out of the middle while notching four total blocks. Kaitlyn Vongvone and Morgan Doss led the defensive stat columns with 19 and 12 digs, respectively. Marina Agueda served up a team-best mark of four aces and added eight kills with Gifti Tefera adding seven kills and two aces. Shanyce Valadez paced the with 37 assists and collected eight digs.
The Bulldogs are set to close out the conference slate with a trip to Santa Barbara City College on Friday, November 15th.
