Women's Cross Country Ends Season in Southern California Finals

The women's cross country team ran their final 5K event of the 2019 season in the Southern California Championships in San Diego California on Thursday, November 7. The team finished 27th overall, which was not enough to secure a spot in the state finals on November 22 and 23. 

Freshman Sierra Skinner led the team in 113th place with a time of 23:51. She beat her time at the WSC Finals by nearly two minutes. 

Michele Marceleno finished with a time of 24:36, Mireya Martinez finished at 26:40, Yasmin Mendez finished with a time of 26:47, and Rachel Mallory finished with a time of 27:43.

Coach Louie Quintana commented on the end of the season and said that "we are still happy with the results."
