Cross Country: Women Place Third as Program Competes at SoCal Regional Preview

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College cross country teams continued the fall campaign by competing in the SoCal Regional Preview on Friday afternoon, hosted at El Dorado Park in Long Beach. 

The women's team further built upon an already successful season after taking third place through the field of 21 scoring programs with a score of 141. Itandehui Olea (18:44.7) led the way after finishing 5th out of 170 individual competitors. Eva Luu (20:02.3) and Maraitzel Moreno Gutierrez (20:32.8) followed by coming in 29th and 33rd place, respectively, while Makayla Gonzalez (38th / 20:57.1) rounded out the top-50 finishers for Hancock. | FULL RESULTS

The men's program finished in 26th place after posting a final score of 717. Ethan Stenhouse was tops for the Bulldogs on the individual stage with a 139th place finish (23:49.4) through the field of 263 competitors, followed by a 176th placement by Pablo Ruiz (24:47.9). Orlando Marin (205th / 26:22.2) and Isaiah Lopez (213th / 27:07.3) closed out the top performers for the men's squad. | FULL RESULTS

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Friday, September 22nd, at the Bakersfield Invitational.
