Women's Cross Country Finishes Second at WSC Preview

OXNARD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's and women's cross country programs continued the fall season by competing in the Western State Conference (WSC) Preview, hosted by Oxnard College, on Friday afternoon. | FULL RESULTS

The women's team placed second through the field of 10 scoring teams after posting a final tally of 77. Glendale was tops in the team category at the event while Oxnard finished third. Itandehui Olea led the Bulldogs individually after taking third place with a final time of 18:29.6. Eva Luu (8th / 19:17.3) and Maraitzel Moreno Gutierrez (19th / 20:20.9) also finished in the top-20 in the field of 65.

The short-handed men's team did not have enough runners to score as a team. Bakersfield (31) took the top team spot, followed by Moorpark (73) and Glendale (84). Ethan Stenhouse led the way for Hancock after turning in a final time of 23:47.0, placing 58th. 

The Bulldogs will return to action on October 20th at the Western State Conference Finals, which will be hosted by LA Pierce College.
