Women's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at 3C2A State Championship, Olea & Luu Earn All-State Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's cross country program closed out a highly decorated fall campaign by competing at the 2023 3C2A State Championship, hosted at Woodward Park, on November 18th. | FULL RESULTS

The Bulldogs placed sixth at the event through the field of 23 scoring programs after seeing four athletes place in the top 100. Mt. San Antonio College won the event for the third straight year after packing all five scores among the top 25. 

The top 14 individual finishers earned All-State first team honors from the 5CTCA while the next 14 finishers garnered second-team honors. Itandehui Olea led the team and earned a First Team All-State nod while Eva Luu picked up a Second Team All-State designation. Olea placed 11th with a final time of 18:51.77 and Luu finished 16th after clocking 18:59.41. 

Maraitzel Moreno Gutierrez (20:35.00) and Jasmine Cruz (21.08.38) crossed next at 68th and 94th, respectively. Annais Vega (114th | 21:47.43), Makayla Gonzalez (117th | 21:54.36), and Rosalie Nicolas (153rd | 24:41.84) rounded out the list of racers for AHC.
