Cross Country Opens Season at Tour de Cuesta, Gutierrez Starts Season with Individual Win
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College cross country teams opened the 2025 season by competing in the Tour de Cuesta event, hosted by Cuesta College, on Friday afternoon. | COMPLETE RESULTS
John Gutierrez headlined the event for the men's program after collecting the top individual slot at the event for the second season in a row. The Santa Maria native turned in a final time of 22:25.39 while leading the squad to a third place finish out of five scoring teams. Erick Marceleno crossed the finish line next for the Bulldogs in 11th place with a final time of 24:08.64. Aidan Burke and Victor Rojas rounded out the top performers by coming in 20th and 23rd, respectively.
Peyton Miya led the women's program after placing 7th with a final time of 22:57.23. She was followed by fellow Bulldog, Rylie Allen, who took 9th with a time of 23:21.98 and rounded out the top runners for Hancock. The women's program did not have enough competing athletes to register a team score.
AHC is set to host the Bulldogs Invitational event at Las Flores Ranch on Friday, August 29th.
