Allan Hancock to Add Men’s Cross Country for Fall 2021

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Allan Hancock College has announced the reinstatement of men's cross country, officially opening the season in Fall 2021.

"We're very excited about the return of our men's cross country program here at Allan Hancock," stated Athletic Director Kim Ensing. "This will be a welcomed addition to our growing department that is aiming to reach extraordinary heights in the future."

The move resurrects the program, which was suspended nearly six years ago. The Bulldogs men's cross country program will be coached by Louie Quintana, who has served both the AHC cross country and track and field programs for more than two decades.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be leading our men's cross country program in the fall," shared Coach Quintana. "Our athletic programs have a great culture ingrained in them, both in and out of the classroom, and I look forward to contributing to that culture with the return of our men's cross country team."

A schedule for the fall season will be released at a later date. For additional information related to the men's cross country program or to express interest as a potential student-athlete for the team, please contact Coach Quintana at (805) 705-3299 or lquintana@hancockcollege.edu.
