Sequoias win their fifth straight game
The Giants scored a combined 28 runs in two games to extend their winning streak to five straight games this week.
Tuesday at Cuesta: COS made the trip to San Luis Obispo to face Cuesta for the fourth time in less than a week.
It was another typical game between the two, with Cuesta scoring first, and Sequoias coming back in the third, ultimately winning 11-8.
The Cougars tied the game up a 7-7 in the 7th inning, thanks to Tyler Ryan singling in Jeff Wilson.
Both teams would score a run in the 8th, causing the game to go to extra innings.
Zac Hernandez's single that plated Wyatt Tilley, was just the start of a three-run 10th inning for Sequoias.
Alex Garcia got the win tossing two hitless innings, racking up two strikeouts.
Saturday vs. Allan Hancock: The Giants need just four innings to seal the game, taking a 13-0 lead over the Bulldogs. COS would cruise to a 17-5 victory with the help of Troy Stainbrook's five scoreless innings.
Allan Hancock scored five runs in the 6th inning, but COS would quickly silence the 'Dogs, again, scoring four in the bottom of the seventh.
Oscar Reyes finished the day going 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. Gabe Corona was a perfect 2-for-2 in the win, with 2 RBI.
Next Up: Sequoias start Central Valley Conference play on Tuesday against Taft. COS will host the first game of the three game set against the Cougars, with first pitch at 2 p.m.
