Hancock Baseball Ranked Sixth in Southern Conference

    Moving into the second half of the 2010 season, the Allan Hancock College baseball team is currently ranked sixth in the southern Conference RPI and seventh in the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association poll. The Bulldogs are 4-3 in conference play and 11-8 overall. 

    Sophomore Chris Mallory (Lompoc, CA) leads the team in scoring with 20 runs and 19 hits as of March 23. He’s followed closely by sophomore Peter Straka (Eugene, OR) with 17 runs and 22 hits so far this season.Brandon Creath (Santa Maria, CA), another sophomore, has five wins and zero losses under his belt and an ERA of 2.25. 

    Hancock plays Oxnard at home on Saturday, March 27 at 1 p.m. Following that game, the Bulldogs will take two days off and then go up against Merced College on March 30 at 2 p.m. in the first game of the Spring Classic Tournament that runs March 30- April 1.
