Baseball Starts Off the Season Top in the Western State Conference

Hancock baseball is 2-1 and currently the number-one ranked team in the Western State Conference going into their scheduled game against Canada College Friday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at John Osborne Field and a home doubleheader against San Francisco City College Saturday Feb 12 at 11 a.m. The team started out strong with a 5-3 win over Santa Ana, ranked number one in Southern California in the pre-season poll. Hancock was ranked fifth in the same poll. The Bulldogs lost their second game against Santa Ana and then took another win on the road against Bakersfield. Canada College is 2-0 after two wins against Contra Costa College and San Francisco City College is 0-3. KCOY talked to the Bulldogs recently about their plans for the 2011 season.
