Bulldog Baseball Benefits From Four-Game Winning Streak

        The Allan Hancock College baseball team has moved up in the Western State Conference after a four-game winning streak. The team is currently 6-5 in conference and 13-12 overall.
        The Bulldogs started their streak with a close 2-1 victory over Oxnard College on March 25. Freshman Joe Perez pitched 8 innings and allowed only five hits and one run in 27 at-bats. Sophomore Austin Nyman hit a solo home run in the fifth inning and had one hit and one RBI, helping the team to their 2-1 win. Nyman had another good game on March 29 against Moorpark College. In three at-bats he had two hits, one run and three RBI’s, including two in the ninth inning that brought the Bulldogs a 5-4 win.
       Hancock went on to beat Ventura College at home and on the road 4-0 and 10-5. The team plays top-ranked Cuesta College at home Tuesday, April 5 at 2:30 p.m.
