Baseball Beats Top-Ranked Cuesta College 15-1

                The Bulldogs scored 11 runs in the fourth inning on April 5 against conference leader Cuesta College, sealing the 15-1 win for Allan Hancock College.
                The score was 1-1 going into the fourth, when Dalton Rouleau (Lompoc) got the inning started with a single and then stole second. Dylan Young (Faith Lutheran) was hit by a pitch, followed by another single from J.P. Maestas (St. Joseph), then an RBI single from Ryan Skillern (South Anchorage) to get the Bulldogs on the board. By the end of the inning Roleau had one single and two runs; Maestas hit two singles and scored two runs; Skillern had two singles and two runs; Jacob Cano (St. Joseph)hit two singles and scored one run; Tom Muhlethaler (O'Leary) had two singles and one run; Christopher Hernandez (Arroyo Grande) had two singles; and Taylor Gilliam (Bakersfield Christian) hit one double and scored one run. Dylan Young (Faith Lutheran)was hit by a pitch twice and scored two runs.
                Cuesta switched pitchers twice during the fourth inning, first from Phillip Gerber to Carson Aprato and then from Aprato to David Murrilo. Jordan Sechler (St. Joseph) pitched the win for the Bulldogs, allowing only six hits and one run in six innings.
                Hancock’s next game is at home on Wednesday April 6 at 2:30 against Moorpark College. The Bulldogs are now 7-5 in conference and 14-12 overall.
