Bulldog Baseball Keeps Playoff Hopes Alive
The Bulldogs took a close 4-3 win over College of the Canyons in their first game of the Hancock Spring Classic Wednesday, April 19. The win brought Hancock to 11-7 in conference and 19-14 overall. With Cuesta College's loss 4-8 loss to Merced on Wednesday, April 20 at Cuesta, the two teams are now tied for second place in conference.
Hancock plays Cypress College Thursday, April 21 at 2:30 p.m. Cypress is currently 9-10 in the tough Orange Empire Conference and 18-14 overall. Cuesta College takes on Fresno City college at 2 p.m. in San Luis Obispo. Fresno is currently 13-9 in the Central Valley Conference and 18-15 overall after their loss to Cerritos College in their first game of the tournament.
Following the Hancock Classic, the Bulldogs play two more conference games, both against against Moorpark College, ranked fifth in the WSC. Cuesta goes on to play two games against Ventura College, currently ranked sixth in the WSC.
