Baseball Team to Compete in Playoffs for Third Year in a Row

      The Allan Hancock College baseball team is headed to the state playoffs for the third season in a row as the third team from the Western State Conference to receive a playoff berth. Seeded 13th, the Bulldogs will play fourth seed Orange Coast College in a best of three series starting Friday, May 6 at 2 p.m. at Orange Coast in Costa Mesa, Calif. The second game is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 11 a.m.
                The Bulldogs ended the regular season 20-16 overall and 12-8 in the Western State Conference. Orange Coast College placed second in the Orange Empire conference, with a 28-8 overall and 14-7 conference record.
                Last season Hancock also entered the state playoffs as the 13th seed before beating fourth-seed Chaffey College in the first round and moving on to play Cypress College in the Super Regional Tournament.
