Baseball Beats Moorpark 2-1 on Home Field
The Raiders got on the board in the fourth inning with just one run, but they kept that slim lead until the eight inning when Jacob Cano (St. Joseph) hit a double that batted in Tom Muhlethaler (O'Leary) and River Stevens (Mission Hills). Hancock edged out Moorpark College for a 2-1 win.
Joseph Delfin (Nipomo) pitched the win, allowing 10 hits in eight innings and stranding Moorpark players on base again and again. Delfin is now 4-1 overall and 2-0 in conference. Codey Shrider (St. Francis) came in at the bottom of the ninth and earned the save.
Hancock is on the road against Ventura College on Thursday, March 29 and the the team returns home on Saturday to play Ventura again at 1 p.m.
