Joe Delfin Pitches Complete Game in 11-0 Victory Over East LA

    Sophomore Joseph Delfin (Nipomo) improved to 5-1 after pitching his first complete game of the season against East Los Angeles on Tuesday, April. 3. Delfin finished the game in just 95 pitches and walked only one batter. Delfin is ranked number one in the WSC in wins so far this season. 

   
   Multiple Hancock players hit homeruns in the team's 11-0 win against East Los Angeles. Tommy Lininger (Bella Vista) hit his first homerun of the season, a three-run homerun in the fifth inning. Daniel Mallory (Lompoc) hit a two-run homerun and Jacob Cano (St. Joseph) hit a three-run homerun in the third. In five at bats Cano had three runs, three hits and 4 RBI's. He improved to a .388 batting average this season so far and is ranked number one in the WSC in RBI's with 29. Mallory had two runs, one hit and two RBI's in two at-bats and leads the conference with 5 homeruns.  Lininger had one run, one hit and three RBI's in four at bats.

    River Stevens (Mission Hills) and Michael Foley (Faith Lutheran) each got a stolen base in the game.  Stevens is currently ranked fourth in the state in batting with a .439 average and seventh in the conference in stolen bases with nine.
