Baseball's Trenton Pallas Commits to High Point University

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Allan Hancock College baseball standout, Trenton Pallas, has committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at High Point University next season.

"It has always been a dream of mine to experience the south, so when High Point came in I realized that they were giving me the opportunity to live out that dream," shared Pallas. They expressed their commitment to me early on and were honest with me about where they can see me, not only at High Point but also at the next level after that."

Pallas, an Arizona native, is midway through his second season with the Bulldogs as an outfielder. He is currently boasting a .355 batting average with 11 RBIs and five stolen bases through 18 games thus far. Pallas also has a spotless fielding percentage record with 34 putouts and two assists on 36 total catches this year, including involvement in one double play.

"AHC has been such a blessing. My time here has really taught me how to grow up and be an adult," added Pallas. "I came out here from Arizona and figuring out how to live on my own was definitely new, but something that was good to learn! I think the biggest key to my success here has been the coaching staff and the way they've always cheered me on or helped me out, even when I was low. Coach Stevens has taught me a lot, not only about baseball but about life, and I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to play under him. This place is truly special and I wish everyone could experience it!"

High Point University, located in North Carolina, is a Division I member of the NCAA and competes in the Big South Conference.
