Baseball: Bulldogs Break Through Top 10 in Latest SoCal Poll

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College baseball team broke through the Top 10 for the Southern Division in the latest edition of the California Community College Baseball Coaches' Association (CCCBCA) Top 20 Poll.

The Bulldogs landed at No. 7 after tallying 209 points in the poll while boasting an overall record of 11-5. Hancock currently leads the state with 13 triples on the season and ranks 23rd with a team batting average of .299. Gavin Long stands atop the list of all individual CCCAA competitors with four triples while Cooper Bagby is tied for second with four wins on the mound. Sophomore leftie, Luke Kovach, is ranked 5th with 14.96 strikeouts per game and 7th with 41 total strikeouts on the season.

Other members of the Western State Conference (North) joining AHC in the polls are No. 10 Cuesta and No. 16 Santa Barbara.
