Baseball's Bradley Waite Commits to Chico State

CHICO, Calif. - Allan Hancock College pitcher, Bradley Waite, will continue his academic and athletic career at the next level after announcing his commitment to Chico State University.

"I chose Chico State because I believe that they will give me a great opportunity to be successful, both on and off the field. I also like that they are known for having a beautiful campus and a strong community feel," Waite shared.

Waite recently completed his second season with the Bulldogs in May. The right-handed pitcher out of Lompoc secured two wins and two saves after making 14 appearances on the bump this year.  The Lompoc High School alum closed his junior college career with 43 strikeouts after pitching 45.0 innings across 26 total appearances.

"My time here at AHC helped me prepare for the next level in a lot of ways. Meeting a lot of new people has shaped me into the person that I am today," Waite added. "I think that having some constant structure and learning to balance what's going on around me is what prepared me the most because it will be similar to the structure that I'll see when I get to Chico State."

Chico State is a Division II member of the NCAA and competes in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
