Baseball's Tommy Kendlinger Named to ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove List

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Allan Hancock College outfielder, Tommy Kendlinger, added another impressive award to his resume after a stellar season with the Bulldogs after being named as an ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove recipient for the Pacific Association Division.

Kendlinger, a native of Ventura, is one of three outfielders on the nine-member squad and the lone Western State Conference representative. The freshman produced a spotless fielding record after handling all 105 defensive chances cleanly while leading the team with six outfield assists and aiding in one double play. Kendlinger was also selected to receive the Western State Conference Gold Glove designation in May.

The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Teams are selected in nine divisions, with all honorees receiving a Rawlings Gold Glove similar to those awarded to Major League players. This award, which was founded in 2007, is chosen by the ABCA All-America Committee for each Division. Kendlinger becomes just the fifth athlete on record to receive the honor for the AHC baseball program. Other former Bulldogs to make the list include Jacob Steels (2022 | OF), Jacob Ruley (2021 | OF), Ryan Peinado (2017 | 3B), and Chris Mallory (2010 | 2B).
