Baseball Picks Up Third WSC Sweep Versus Oxnard

OXNARD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College baseball team swept the three-game series against Oxnard College last week in the fourth week of Western State Conference (North) play. The Bulldogs move to 16-6 (10-2) on the season after the weekend of action while the Condors fall to 5-16-1 (2-7) overall.

Blake Edgmon and Gavin Long led the Bulldogs at the plate after they both went 5-for-12 (.417) across the three contests. Stephen Espinoza recorded a team-best mark of five RBIs, followed by three from Niko Pecskovszky. Tommy Kendlinger was tops for the team with two stolen bases throughout the series while Long nabbed one. 

Austin Kurr picked up a pair of wins on the rubber after five innings of work while Nick Brown earned one. Cooper Bagby also had a showing on the rubber en route to two saves. 

Next up is a three-game showing against Santa Barbara City College. The Bulldogs will travel on Tuesday, March 19th, before hosting on Thursday and Saturday.
