Running Back Ryan Anglin Signs With Nicholls State University

      Ryan Anglin has received a scholarship to play for the Nicholls State University Colonels, a FCS Division football team in Thibodaux, La. He will join the Colonels as a running back for the 2011-12 season.

      Anglin was a two-year starter for Allan Hancock College and helped lead the team to the state playoffs in 2009. That season he led the Southern California Football Association Southern Conference in rushing yards with an average of 89.4 per game. He scored seven touchdowns and was named first team All-Conference. In 2010, Anglin was a second team All-Conference player and averaged 63.9 yards per game.

      A Santa Maria native, Anglin was an All-County and All-Area running back at St. Joseph High School before joining the Bulldogs.
