Hancock History Honored at Last Football Game of the Season

The Bulldogs ended the season with a 7-28 loss, but the night was a success for may of the fans in the stadium and certainly for the members of the 1960 football team, who were honored with a special halftime presentation. The members of the undefeated 1960 football team were in Santa Maria Nov 12-13 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of that miraculous season. Each member of the team in attendance and coach Dick Mannini were presented with Hancock football jerseys. Joyce Baldock, wife of the late head coach Al Baldock accepted his jersey. Not in attendance was another member of the coaching staff, John Madden. The 2010 squad held Cerritos for most of the first quarter before the Falcons scored off of a 43-yard touchdown pass. The Falcons continued to dominate, but in the fourth quarter, quarterback Chase Sanders (Santa Maria) was able to hand the ball off to Andy Bridge (Paso Robles) for a touchdown. The Bulldogs ended the season 3-7 overall and 0-4 in conference.
