Seven Football Players Receive All-Conference Honors

                Four offensive and three defensive players were named All-Conference for the 2010 football season. Sophomore Scott Cathcart (Santa Maria) was the only wide receiver in the conference to be named a unanimous first team All-Conference selection. Cathcart caught an average of 91 yards per game this season. He led the team in receiving yards and scored six touchdowns. Freshman Chris Barnwell (Savannah) was selected to the first team as a running back. He netted 652 yards this season, an average of 65 per game. Barnwell also had one interception.
            Freshman Spencer Dudley (St. Charles) and sophomore Ryan Anglin (Santa Maria) were both named second team All-Conference, Dudley as a wide receiver and Anglin as an all-purpose player.  Dudley caught 47 passes this season for a total of 540 yards. Anglin averaged 63 rushing yards per game and caught eight passes for 35 yards. He led the team in touchdowns with seven.  
            On the defensive side, sophomore John Sua (Santa Maria) was a first team selection at defensive tackle.  An all-around defensive player, Sua had 37 solo tackles this season and forced three fumbles. Sophomore linebacker Anthony Johnson (Columbus) and freshman safety Christopher Wheeler (Templeton) were both named second team All-Conference. Johnson led the team in tackles with 47 solo and a total of 118. Wheeler caught four interceptions and blocked an extra point kick in addition to his 42 total tackles.
